There was a song several years ago that had these words, “The devil’s in the phone booth, dialing 9-1-1….”. I don’t know that the devil uses a phone, but if he does, I’d think he’s dialing 9-1-1 right now. There is a church on fire at 172 Poole St. and she’s ablaze with the fire of God and he doesn’t like it. He desires to put out the fire. He’ll use every conceivable way of doing it. He’ll cause you to be “busy” so that you can’t attend the services. He’ll cause you to be “distracted” so you won’t focus on what God saying or doing. He’ll create confusion so that you’ll be hesitant in becoming a “fire-walker”. Do not be ignorant of the devil’s devices. I challenged you on Saturday night to “guard your heart”. The enemy of our soul knows full well and our heart drives us in how we deal with the issues of life. If he can attack your heart, divide your heart, confuse your heart….. he can keep you from experiencing the fullness of what God wants to do in your life and in our church. Don’t be confused about what is going on. GOD IS MOVING!!!!!

A week ago, the Lord gave us a word that we needed to “get ready, the fire is about to fall”. Well, this week the fire fell. It started with our young people at their retreat and continued in the Sunday evening service. What an awesome move of God!

Fasting, Day 26 (Friday)

Have you lost sight of the reason for your fast? Have you felt like fasting the meal, but not really praying like you should?

I just had a conversation via Face Book chat with a person who used to come to church. They are not right with God. I reminded them that the Lord loved them and was patient with us because of His love. They said they weren’t ready to come back yet. I asked what it would take to get ready. They said they weren’t sure. They also said that they wanted to come back to God but was afraid they would let Him down again. I told them to not think about failing, but to think about being victorious. Paul said “I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength”. When I finished the chat, I was reminded all over again why we are fasting. It’s for people like that who need a reason to give God another try.

Keep on fasting. I truly believe that our loved ones are coming home!!!! It’s just a matter of time!

Feb. 14th - He Love It When We Love On Him With Praise & Worship

On Feb. 7th, the choir sang a song called “We Will Remember”. The people began remembering the works of the Lord in their life and the glory of God fell. We had a hallelujah time! I had two people give a testimony of what God had done in their life. I hope you will be blessed by this clip.

Fasting, Day 24 (Wednesday)

I’ve been out of town at our Annual Prayer Conference. It was held in the beautiful city of Aiken. I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites. It was a beautiful place that my wife and I enjoyed very much. The only problem I had was the way they did their internet. They had free wireless…… in the lobby. It was free but it wasn’t convenient. In the morning, I had to go down to the lobby and find a place to sit down long enough to get on to check email, respond to email, etc. That wasn’t a big deal, but I like to check stuff all through the day. Kinda of hard to do it when you think about it because you would have to pack up, transfer to the lobby and set up there in order to get online. NOT CONVENIENT!

It made me think about our fasting. Not necessarily convenient. There are times that we don’t get to eat with others, have to turn down invitations, dismiss ourselves at certain times to spend that time with God. Not exactly convenient. But if we want to get “online with God”, the inconvenient times are exactly what we need. We need to get out of our routine, out of our comfort zone and pack up our stuff and move to another location to plug into Him. It’s then we really appreciate what we’ve had all alone. It’s my times with God that make me so aware of all the blessings I have from Him.

Keep us the covenant you’ve made with God. Your “afterward” is just ahead!!!!!
