Fasting, Day 11 (Thursday)

Home > Pastor's Blog > Fasting, Day 11 (Thursday)

I’ve shared comical things, practical things and Biblical things. Right now I want to be serious. Don’t forget that when you fast and pray, the enemy WILL fight back. This is the reason so many people don’t want Revival or to push forward in spiritual things. They like their life comfortable. Hey, I can’t find where we’ve been called to live a life of comfort as a Christian. Jesus said you would be persecuted for His name’s sake. We’ve always thought that meant people would blow up our house or something. Let me just remind you that Satan can persecute us. When we began to get serious about our relationship with God and going into the enemy’s camp and taken back what he’s stolen for us, the DEVIL DOESN’T LIKE IT!!!!!!

I just got back from a teenager’s house that is having a struggle with asthma. She’s not had an attack this bad in “many years”. Why now? This teenager has committed to fast tea and soft drinks for 40 days. The teen is committed to God and love Him totally. Why is she having this struggle? Look beyond the asthma and see the enemy pushing against the child of God who is pressing in to get close to God. Can I just remind you that we knew this wouldn’t be easy, but it WILL BE WORTH IT!!!!!!!

I’m glad to report that when I left that house, the symptoms that had bothered this young teen for several days, had ceased!!!!! Don’t back off nor deviate from your commitment to God. KEEP ON FASTING & PRAYING….. the afterward is coming!
