Fasting, Day 8 (Monday)

Home > Pastor's Blog > Fasting, Day 8 (Monday)

I know, I’m a little late getting this on today.  SORRY!  But I do have a word to leave with you.

Just got home from prayer meeting and I was reminded again about why we are doing what we’re doing.  Many people are praying and fasting for their loved ones to be saved.  Others are praying and fasting for the healing of their bodies or someone they love.  Still others are praying for jobs and/or financial miracles.  While we pray and fast for those things, don’t forget the number one thing we are praying and fasting for:  REVIVAL.  Revival is the key to much of the above happening.  When Revival comes in like a flood, it will bring with it an overwhelming presence of the Holy Ghost, who will convict of sin.   Revival, once the church is stirred, spurns evangelism.  Evangelism brings sinners to the cross, backsliders returning home and hunger for the world to turn to Christ.

Yes, REVIVAL is the answer.  So among the praying and fasting for your personal needs, don’t forget that the number one thing on our “FASTING FORWARD” commitment card was REVIVAL.

2 Chron. 7:14 - If my people which are called by name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven.  I will forgive their sins and will heal their land.
