Thanksgiving…

Home > Media, Pastor's Blog > Thanksgiving…

I wanted to first say “Happy Thanksgiving” to everybody. For some, this is a wonderful time of year. Family gatherings, happy times, shopping expeditions. For others, it’s a sad, lonely, stressful time. Some of celebrating Thanksgiving without a family member for the first time. Others are dealing with sickness and wonder what is there to be thankful for.

I took time to visit some of our members in the Nursing Home and Assisted Living. I wondered what they were thankful for. WOW! In spite of their circumstances, in spite of their health, in spite of their age, they are thankful. Thankful for their family, for their church, but mostly for their Lord. And almost without exception, they were all thankful for the promise of getting to go see Jesus SOON!

I hope everyone takes time to look at this video. Be sure and watch it all the way to the end. Bro. Clyde Taylor prays a prayer for all those watching. Always remember that in every situation and in every circumstance, YOU CAN BE THANKFUL! Happy Thanksgiving!
