Weekly Bulletin - November 24, 2009
Home > News & Events > Weekly Bulletin - November 24, 2009DURING THIS THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY , please take time to reflect upon all the many blessings the Lord has given to you. It’s so easy in the midst of all the “traditional” stuff we do to forget about the more important things. Don’t forget to be thankful for your family. You may go through difficult times together, face crisis, deal with dilemmas, but being able to do that …. TOGETHER…is a blessing. Be thankful for your job. Many, many people are without jobs and to have a job, even if it’s not what you really want to do, is a blessing. If you’re looking for a job, go ahead and be thankful for the job the Lord is going to provide. That’s called faith, and God honors faith! Be thankful for health and strength. Even if you’re dealing with some health issues, know that as a Christian you are blessed to serve a God with the power to heal! Be thankful for friends. These are people who support you and love you, not matter what! Most of all, be thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ. Be thankful for your salvation, for a Savior Who is your Advocate, Healer, Friend who sticks closer than a brother, a Deliverer, a Help in time of trouble, a Shield and Buckler, a Strong Tower, a Place of Refuge…I could go on and on, but my point is: BE THANKFUL FOR JESUS! Take time to tell Him how much you love Him and how thankful you are for His mercy and grace in your life.
